The 5th Wave was released on January 22, 2016 in the United States by Columbia Pictures. It received negative reviews from critics and has grossed over $106 million worldwide.
After watching this movie I realized that I am seriously out of touch with today's youth. I found this movie boring to say the least. Wanting for a good alien invasion ride what I got was a drama about relationships. There were a few good CGI effects but not enough to warrant a rewatch from me.
Did you like this movie? Why? What made it good for you? Granted I probably didn't give it my full attention but that is because it did not Grab my attention.

Yeah, The trailer makes it out to be all that. What a let down. To be fair, my kids seemed to like it - must have hit a nerve or something - did nothing for me
