There are specific TOS rules that are there to keep things controllable.
18. OBJECTIONABLE CONTENT
(a) are libelous, defamatory, abusive, or threatening, excessively violent, harassing, obscene, lewd, lascivious, filthy, or pornographic
(d) incite, encourage or threaten physical harm against another
(e) promote or glorify racial intolerance, use hate and/or racist terms, or signify hate towards any person or group of people
(h) is generally offensive or in bad taste
(a) "stalk" or otherwise harass any person, or contact any person who has requested not to be contacted
Anger
From time to time we all get angry with something. Anger is not a violation, It all depends on how you express your anger towards other members.
Here are some good rules for expressing your anger:
- State what caused you to be angry (Sometimes, the person has no idea what offended you)
- Let them know why it angered you
- Offer them a way to make amends
- Take it to Private Message
- Agree to disagree and leave it alone
- Block that member from your view
- PM A Staff Member
The Staff are here for everybody. We work hard to make this an enjoyable experience for all members.
As the community grows, there will be times when we are unaware of a problem arising, Let us know.
More times than not, The Staff will side with staff and prominent members. Staff will always side with Admin and Admins will ALWAYS side with UNDEAD1.
Just so you understand.
Feeling Unappreciated or Ignored
With a community like ours there will be times when your topic gets no response for a multitude of reasons
- Members did not see the posting (As the community grows this will increase)
- Members did not feel it was a subject they wish to discuss (Try changing the title words)
- Wrong Topic/Wrong Forum (Stay on subject)
- Same topic that has already had great discussion
- You frequently post outstanding topics to the point your topics become standard
- Your discussion topic was close worded (Perceived as a final word on the subject)
- It is an information topic or a movie embed
Staff members will attempt to acknowledge all topics, but again, as the community grows we will need your help letting members feel welcome.
Sometimes a simple "Thank You" or "Thanx" is all that is needed to show appreciation. It helps keep members posting and builds our diversity.
A Bad Day
We all have bad days, sometimes without even knowing.
From time to time our choice of words may come off as condescending or spiteful.
We understand this.
Our issue will come when your words like this become your normal responses.
Chances are, the first time we see it you will get a PM from a Staff member asking what is wrong?
That PM should be notice that we have taken notice of your personality change.
Step back and see if that is the persona you want other members to see.
The next PM will likely come after you continue the aggressive tone.
It will be a 'Cease and Desist' request.
Continuing to be offensive to other members after that can get you banned for a period of time.
If you come back and continue, your ban will be permanent and your IP Address will be flagged.
We don't want to do this - We have to.
You know, There is no rule that says you have to reply. Just stay away from topics that piss you off
Hostile To Staff
Hostility towards our Staff Members will not be tolerated.
If I catch you being hostile towards UNDEAD1 I will terminate you on the spot.
At that point it will be on you to convince him to allow you back into the community.
As for any other Staff Member, Your conduct will be reviewed by all the Staff Members and action will be decided from there.
My advice, Keep it friendly.
If you have a legitimate issue with a Staff Member, PM another Staff Member or an Admin about it.
Handling Issues
Remember that this is a community. Issues are to be dealt with using the Private Messaging system.
At no time will rants and raves be tolerated in the community for all to see.
Our members come here to have fun and watch or discuss a movie not to read a bunch of drama on how your pecker got stepped on.
Grow up, Take it private and resolve the issue.
Believe me, We will be Watching for this.
